Jesus Will Come To Where You Are!
Does the load of sin you carry,
Have you bowed down to the ground?
Is your mind full of questions,
Yet the answers can't be found?
You won't find the peace you're seeking,
In a bottle or a bar.
Jesus can fill your empty vessel!
He will come to where you are.
Do you often feel discouraged,
And it seems that there's no end?
Do you contemplate how much you'd give,
For just one true and faithful friend?
You want to change your life.
But, satan says you've gone too far.
If you can't get to Jesus my friend,
He will come to where you are!
Jesus will come to where you are,
At morning, noon, or night!
He will pick up the pieces of your life,
And make everything just right!
Although sin is devastating,
And it leaves a lasting scar,
Jesus, the Great Physician,
Will come to where you are!

Oh, What A Friend!
When I am feeling alone and blue,
And my smile becomes a frown,
I turn to a Friend,
Who's tried and true!
He will never let me down!
My Friend Jesus knows my every thought!
By Him, even my actions are weighed.
Praise God, my soul has been blood-bought!
On Calvary's hill the price He paid!
Though I may not always understand,
Why some things must be,
I place my life in His strong hand,
Knowing He will care for me!
I need not fear what man can do,
For Jesus is my Shield against all foes!
He promised He would see me through,
Until time's curtain shall close!
I've never had a Friend before,
Who is so loving, kind, and good!
His love will last forevermore!
He promised me it would!
Someday my tent down here I'll fold,
When it's time for this pilgrim to go!
Then, I shall traverse the streets of gold,
In a garment as white as snow!
Ah, on this one thing I can depend,
I shall not walk alone!
For, hand in hand with Jesus, my Friend
I'll be headin' toward God's throne!

God's Holy Word
Dear Lord, my very soul is stirred,
When I read Your Holy Word!
It has become a lamp unto my feet.
Within the confines of its pages,
I've come to know the Rock of Ages!
Our daily fellowship is so sweet!
When I delve into Your word I find,
Encouragement and peace of mind,
As I follow the lives of people just like me.
No, I'm not Moses, Peter, or Paul.
But, they were human one and all.
Each of them was just a servant to Thee!
When I am lonely or ill,
Or am earnestly seeking God's will,
I find the answer in His Holy Word!
It's wisdom is much to be desired,
For it is Holy Ghost inspired,
With a message which is the dearest ever heard!
God's Word I shall hide in my heart,
And as I absorb each and every part,
I will apply it to my daily life.
My road map it shall be,
Daily guiding me,
Through this old world of sin and strife!

Homecoming Day
From the sounds that I hear,
I know Christ's coming is so near,
As strong winds blow and earthquakes shake the ground.
I know the word of God is true.
He's coming back for me and you.
In the rapture we'll be Heaven bound!
In schools and churches our children are dying.
It seems that violence appears on every hand.
We try to comfort their loved ones who are crying.
But, it's plain to see they just don't understand.
These signs of the time point to Christ's returning.
With a shout He'll come and catch His bride away!
In my heart this message keeps burning,
"Don't lose hope child soon it will be Homecoming Day!

Forgive Me, Lord
When in answer to Your call,
May I always give my all.
But, should I stumble and fall,
Forgive me, Lord.
If I say something absolutely absurd,
Repeat some juicy gossip I have heard,
Or even utter an unkind word,
Please, forgive me Lord.
If your searchlight of love should find,
Evil thoughts in my mind,
Would you ever be so kind,
And forgive me, Lord?
As I journey along life's road,
Heading toward my eternal abode,
If I grumble about my load,
Forgive me, Lord.
If life brings me so much pain,
That I'm tempted to complain,
Please help me to refrain,
And forgive me, Lord. In the darkness of the night,
When no help seems to be in sight,
If I should waver between wrong and right,
Forgive me, Lord.
If I've ever been to blame,
Of causing shame,
To your Holy and Righteous name,
Please, forgive me Lord.

TIME
Time, a commodity everyone has the same amount of,
Is equally distributed by our God up above!
"I have no time for that," we often say,
But, have twenty four hours in our day!
Time in our youth seems to move so slow,
Even though we are always on the go!
Friend, a teenage boy or girl,
Seems to have all the time in the world.
Ah, the most important time in our life is our youth,
If we follow our Lord in spirit and in truth!
Later on, our time gradually flows,
In the first years of our marriage as our family grows!
Still later when we look back and our family is grown,
It seems that time has literally flown!
Friend, have you ever heard anyone say,
"I just don't have enough hours in my day?"
They hurry, scurry, and rush about,
And, before they know it their time has run out!
How often have you heard folks say,
"I wouldn't give that guy the time of day!"
That statement is not only rude,
It is certainly not a good Christian attitude.
Sometimes, middle aged folks "do things on the sly,"
Because they feel like time is passing them by!
"Time is of the essence," a businessman might say,
Not realizing his lifespan is decreasing every day!
Some, folks waste time in so many ways,
But, we Christians must redeem it for these are evil days!
For, before we enter Heaven, that beautiful sunny clime,
We'll be justly judged on how we spent our time!

God Could Come At Any Time!
God could come for me in the morning,
As the sun "peeps over the hill,"
When the birds are sweetly singing,
And the earth lies peaceful and still!
Or, He could "come a callin,"
In the busiest part of the day,
To claim the soul I have given Him,
And take me home to stay!
Friend, He could come at eventide,
When I'm weary from the fight,
Or He could pay me a visit,
In the stillness of the night!
My departure could be in the Winter,
Spring, Summer, or even Fall!
I do not know the season,
In which I'll hear my Master's call!
God could have come for me in my early childhood,
When my heart was pure and clean,
Or waited a few years later,
Until I was in my "troubled teens."
He could have come for me when I was a young man,
And starting out in life,
When I had just fallen in love,
And took for myself a wife.
God could have come for me at mid life,
When my kids were all grown,
And happily married with children of their own.
He may come for me in my "twilight years,"
While my hand is still "holding the plow,"
Though my body is tired and weary,
And I've made it that far somehow.
Friend, I must always be ready,
With my lamp all trimmed and burning,
With my eyes toward the Eastern sky,
And my heart within me yearning!
Oh, I must be free from all malice,
Hate, envy, or strife.
None of these shall ever be found,
In a "child of God's life!"
I must love my neighbor as myself,
And lend a helping hand,
To those who are less fortunate,
Across our troubled land.
I must visit those in prison,
And those who are "down and out,"
And do my best to feed the hungry.
Isn't that what love is about?
I must speak a word of kindness,
To those who are in grief,
And show a world that's full of trouble,
That Jesus can give relief!
I must be about my Father's business,
As I travel here below,
And do good to those around me,
Each and every place I go!
I can show a lost and dying world,
What it means to live for God,
In the way I serve my Master,
As down here on Earth I trod!
Then, Friend it will not matter,
If our Lord comes at night or day,
I can go joyfully out to meet Him,
And live with Christ for aye!
Yes, our Lord will come and take me,
To that beautiful sunny clime!
So, I must always be ready and watching,
For He could come at any time!

God's Watching!
You may think you can get by,
Doing thing "on the sly."
But, God's all seeing eye,
Is watching you!
When you speak an unkind word,
And think nobody heard,
That's certainly absurd,
For you see He's listening too!
Do you remember that latest business deal?
It was practically a steal.
Ah, but how did the other party feel,
When the deal was done?
Friend, whether we're at work or play,
Folks notice what we do or say,
And each and every day,
We represent God's Son.
Oh, in my mind the wheels are turning,
And my heart within me is burning,
Creating a yearning,
To "turn over a new leaf."
For Jesus is a Precious Friend,
On whom I can depend!
So I definitely don't want to offend,
Or ever cause Him grief.

Love Always, Jim And Ellen
Ellen thought she heard footsteps in the hall,
And was just about to call,
“Is everything alright, Jim dear?”
Then, tears filled her eyes,
As she began to realize,
Jim had been gone for exactly a year.
Life for the couple had been sweet!
They had faced some heartache and defeat.
But, they had never faced anything alone!
God had kept them together,
Through sunny and stormy weather.
Now Ellen must face life on her own.
As she lay there in the big king size bed,
Sweet memories filled her head,
Of how wonderful things used to be.
They were married in the church on the hill,
And in memory still,
Jim's handsome face she could see.
They were so happy, Ellen and Jim.
He loved her and she loved him.
They were a perfectly matched pair.
After years together they would find,
They could look into each others minds,
And read what was written there.
In memory, Ellen went back to the day,
When Jim searched for words to say,
When he returned from the doctor in town.
He said, “Ellen, I just saw Doctor Hughes.”
“Honey, I have bad news.”
“Maybe you'd better sit down.”
Jim continued, “Ellen, dear,”
“Doc said at the most I only have a year.”
“He said the cancer has spread.”
Ellen could hardly believe her ears.
So, she couldn't hold back the tears,
For this had been their constant dread.
In the final days of his life,
For Jim and Ellen, His wife,
Each day was an uphill climb.
The time went by so fast.
Soon the year had almost past.
But, they lived one day at a time.
God gave them the grace,
And the strength to face,
The heartbreak of having to say goodbye.
Ellen knows within her heart,
That though they had to part,
She will see Jim again by and by!
Ah, somewhere inside Heaven's gates,
Jim patiently awaits,
The arrival of Ellen, his wife!
Soon her hand he will hold!
They will walk the streets of gold!
And together they'll enjoy eternal life!
