Jesus Will Come To Where You Are!

Does the load of sin you carry,

Have you bowed down to the ground?

Is your mind full of questions,

Yet the answers can't be found?

You won't find the peace you're seeking,

In a bottle or a bar.

Jesus can fill your empty vessel!

He will come to where you are.

Do you often feel discouraged,

And it seems that there's no end?

Do you contemplate how much you'd give,

For just one true and faithful friend?

You want to change your life.

But, satan says you've gone too far.

If you can't get to Jesus my friend,

He will come to where you are!

Jesus will come to where you are,

At morning, noon, or night!

He will pick up the pieces of your life,

And make everything just right!

Although sin is devastating,

And it leaves a lasting scar,

Jesus, the Great Physician,

Will come to where you are!

What Would Jesus Do?

“What would Jesus do?”

I’ve often heard folks say.

Well, I believe that question,

Is relative to today.

While attending a ball game,

Would Jesus have a beer?

When His favorite team scored,

Would Jesus stand and cheer?

Would Jesus enjoy a good cigar?

Would He blow tiny ringlets of smoke?

Would Jesus laugh with glee,

When somebody told a dirty joke?

Would Jesus just walk on by,

The homeless on the street?

Would He look the other way,

If a beggar He chanced to meet?

Would Jesus watch a video?

Would He have a favorite T.V. show?

Would He absent Himself from God’s house,

Saying He had some place else to go?

Friend, I’m quick to answer,

With a heart full of love,

I believe my Lord and Saviour,

Would do none of the above

Jesus Gave Me Hope

Jesus Gave Me Hope

I don’t know what you’re going through.

But, I wanted you to know,

I’ve struggled through some hard times too,

When tears began to flow.

It was then I called on Jesus’ name,

During a time I could not cope.

And my circumstance was not the same,

For Jesus gave me hope!

He said, “My child come unto me,”

“And I will give you rest!”

“Just have faith and you will see,”

“I’ll help you stand the test!”

His voice then calmed life’s troubled sea!

The billows ceased to roll!

A wonderful peace came over me,

As great joy filled my soul!

Now I’ve learned to trust in Him,

No matter, come what may!

And though life’s path is often dim,

He’ll guide me all the way!

The Old Time Preacher Man

"Just plant me here in the place of my birth,"

Said the old time preacher man!

"Let my body slowly rejoin the earth,"

"'Tis God's unique recycling plan!"

"But, know ye that when all is said and done,"

"My soul will have taken it's flight,"

And I'll be rejoicing with God's Son,"

"In that beautiful city of light!"

"You see, I'm a child of a Heavenly King,"

Having been adopted through God's grace!"

"I'm going where heavenly angels sing,"

"In that wonderful, marvelous place!"

"Oh, what's that sounding on my ear?"

Voices fill the heavenly dome!

"I know for certain I can hear,"

"Angels singing, welcome home!"

"So friend, don't weep for me,"

"Just remember where I've gone!"

"That celestial city you too shall see,

If you'll just journey on!

Grace Alone

One day I shall stand,

Before the King of Heaven and earth,

With not one thing in my hand,

No credentials of a royal birth.

I cannot stand before our righteous Lord,

On merits of my own.

I shall receive a just reward,

Because of grace alone!

You see, I was lost and depraved,

Yet Jesus died for me!

Now I am saved!

From sin I've been set free!

I was adopted by the King!

He claimed me for His own!

No wonder I now sing,

"Thank God for grace alone!"

Rise Up And Walk

While sitting along life's road one day,
I heard a voice so sweetly say,
"Rise up and walk, my child and be made whole!"
"Give unto Me the rags of your sin."
"Come, oh come and be born again!"
"By grace through faith I'll save your soul!"
So, I cried, "Oh Lord, please rescue me."
"I'm also blind and I cannot see."
"Too long I've been under Satan's ruthless hand."
Then, I received what I needed so much!
It was the Master's tender touch,
As with love and compassion He helped me to stand!
I no longer have to carry a heavy load,
Nor do I sit along life's road!
Now, I walk the Straight and Narrow Way!
I'm not bound by sin's strong chain.
The scars on my wrist are all that remain.
But, they too shall disappear some glad day!
When I shall stand before the Lord,
I will receive a just reward.
I shall be judged for the deeds I've done.
If I remain faithful and true,
And accomplish the tasks He wants me to do,
I will hear "Well done, My child, from God's own Son!

A Brand New Me!

Come my friends and rejoice with me,
For this I surely know,
From my sins I have been set free!
My soul is as white as snow!
I've lost the passion for earthly things.
The old life has been left behind!
"How great Thou art," my happy heart sings,
For I've found such peace of mind!
With mere words I could never explain,
This wonderful feeling in my heart!
Gone are the sorrow, heartaches, and pain,
Which made the teardrops start.
In their place I've joyfully found,
Contentment like I've never known!
My spirit has been lifted to higher ground,
Since Christ made me His own!
God daily supplies all my needs,
From His storehouse up above!
So, I will follow wherever He leads,
And pledge my undying love!

A Pauper Becomes A Prince!

Shout it from the rooftops,
And tell it all around,
Jesus is the best Friend,
My soul has ever found!
I once was lost and dying,
Sinking with no hope.
Satan had me blinded.
All I could do was grope.
Then, Jesus had pity on me,
And threw out the old lifeline!
Ever since that wonderful happy day,
Great joy has been mine!
The unsightly garments of sin,
That I clutched around me so tight,
Were traded to Jesus,
For this new robe of white!
Then, those awful heavy fetters,
Fell of my hands and my feet!
My heart that was so burdened,
No has a brand new beat!
Gone forever from my soul,
Is that awful load of sin!
Now I have great joy,
And sweet peace within!
The sinful desires I once had,
Were stricken from my mind!
New strength through the joy,
Of the Lord I now find!
Now, I'm a new man!
The old man died that day!
Behold all things are new!
Old things have passed away!
At the very moment,
I made Jesus my choice,
I believe all of Heaven,
Stood to rejoice!
I, who once fed,
On the corn husks of sin,
Am now daily provided,
With sweet manna within!
Jesus anointed my eyes,
That I might see clearly,
Truths in God's word,
That I hold so dearly!
My whole conversation,
And life style have changed!
My heart God has taken,
And completely rearranged!
The old friends I once had,
Know me no longer.
But, now I've a Christian family,
With ties that are stronger!
Yes, once I was destitute,
And had nothing to bring.
However, now through Jesus,
I'm a child of the King!
